Pliding’s Teeth

Pliding’s teeth were causing her pain. She prayed to God, and He answered.

My name is Pliding. My teeth were hurting and loose, and some of them were missing. They have been a source of pain off and on for several years, and I had no way of fixing this problem myself. I knew that I did not have money to pay to see a dentist, and I had been afraid to ask other people for help. I was at my wit’s end on what to do. Many people go to the clinic for help, but I did not want to go there. I had faith that God could help me with my dental issues. So I prayed to Jesus and asked Him to help me, and He sent the people who could. I am so thankful to Him.

One day, my husband, Noah, got a call from Mrs. George, the project leader. During the call, she asked how he was doing. He said that he was doing well but that I was not because my teeth were hurting me again. Mrs. George said not to worry about the money and that they would see what they could do at the clinic. She said I should see the nurse at the clinic and ask her to write a note to the dentist. So that is what I did.

The nurse said there was a dentist in the lowlands at Philippine Adventist Medical Aviation Services and that I should go there and see her. She had been traveling with PAMAS, helping native tribal people with their dental problems. I was embarrassed for the dentist to look at my teeth because I knew they were in terrible shape. And even though Mrs. George told us not to worry about the money, I was still embarrassed because I knew that I could not earn enough money in my entire life to pay for the work of removing my teeth and replacing them with expensive dentures.

Now I am praising God that I went because He used the dentist to help me. She was very kind and made dentures for me in the lowlands. She did not charge me anything for the labor or the supplies!

I received God’s mercy and help because I prayed. As soon as I began, God heard my prayers and started to help me, placing the dentist where I would need her and when. He inspired Mrs. George to call my husband, who directed me to the clinic nurse who sent me to PAMAS and the help of the dentist. Now I have new teeth and no more pain!

I am so thankful to God for His help and love every day. I am also thankful to the dentist for her gift of dentures. God sees everyone. He knew I needed teeth. He knows the needs of others, too. Trust Him and take your needs to Him in prayer.
