AFM-Europe is in need of and office and training center to provide:

- An office for the AFM-Europe team.
- A suitable location for pre-launch short-term, career worker and short-term mission trip training for missionary applicants from across Europe.
- A suitable location for missionary retreats, furloughs, and cross-cultural ministry training events in Europe.

Description of the Property
We have selected a rural property near Cluj Napoca, in the Transylvania region of Romania. Cluj is the second largest city of Romania, a growing technology and manufacturing hub, with several universities. Romania is both a lower cost country for operations, and home to the most Seventh-day Adventists of any European country. This makes it an excellent choice for both recruiting and cost effective training.
The team searching for the property feel like the Cluj property was built just for an AFM training facility. God provides for His needs before we even make our plans!
The main building is a brand new, never-opened events facility that can seat up to 80 people for a meal or 150-200 people for meetings if not arranged for dining. Included is a dining area with breakfast bar, training area, and around the fireplace some comfortable furniture for informal discussion and relaxation. It has a properly designed commercial kitchen with a nice selection of equipment. There are men’s, woman’s, handicapped-accessible and a kitchen staff washroom on the main floor.
The main building also has six hotel-style bedrooms each with private baths. Two of the four upstairs rooms are large enough to work as studio apartments, while two rooms are in a separate ground floor section of the building directly accessible from the outdoors. All rooms have large opening picture windows. These 6 sleeping rooms allow various configurations for families and single people in training or on site for short term meetings.
There is a small office space with exterior and interior access so the office can function without disturbing meetings in progress. A brick patio, utility and workshop spaces complete the main building.
A separate 3 bedroom/1.5 bath 12 year old home is a couple hundred feet away. This will accommodate AFM EU’s President and family initially. There is plenty of land to build more facilities on as needs grow.
AFM Europe’s new facility sits on 40,000 m2 of land across three titles tucked between a river and a community forest. It is two minutes outside a small village. A man-made lake and the natural topography adds to the peaceful nature of the property. Nearby farmland is owned by an agricultural university further buffering the property from development.
While serene, this property is very accessible. It is only 15 minutes by good highway from the well connected Cluj International Airport, which is perfect for a facility serving missionaries from across Europe. This site is actually closer to the airport than the temporary office on the other side of Cluj. There is a train station nearby and good highway access. The property has good access to power and high speed internet and abundant high quality well water complete with water treatment and heating systems. Fruit and evergreen trees have been planted and there is already a small greenhouse and a good sized garden area.
